You're so fine you blow my mind.

That's it... being cool.
I had a conversation with my therapist about these shoes, I needed to talk myself out of them because of their awesome price tag (over $400), he said "don't do it". Now that they are in the mid 200, they no longer are in my size. It's a crime. They are so hot, they make me sob.

Drill Team

I was not completely sold on the whole espadrille thing
until I spotted this Frida version.
I see myself dancing to the sounds of violet, blue, and black,
watching the sky become night. Surrounded by friends and family,
surrounded by magic. How I love to love. Amo mi vida.

They need some dirt and fray on 'em, but they are sweet.
The thought of putting them on makes me yearn for
a DK Show at the WOW Hall, fueled by stolen Budweisers and
Camel straights.
Ah... youth.

Red eyeshadow, green mascara.
Yuck. She's too much.

Do I wear them, or worship them?

Happy to get away.

Something about the weight of all that turquoise resting on the tops of my bare naked feet.
They feel like a hot breeze at dusk.
These are so much about being somewhere else, where my feet are dark and dirty, and everything I own is in the back of a Ford.

Give it to me.

I know the implications...
So wrong, they are right, but I can't help myself.
After all, they aren't for running...
I know that.
They are clear in their intentions,
and I really like honesty from my shoes.

You give me fever.

These are the shoes that started it all.
Take a moment to imagine them with red (pantone 485), mens cut slacks, a black dress shirt, and some kind of really high up-do. Plus Jackie-O glasses. Mmmmmm, smooth.

I love them. I wish Bubbi would wear them, too.

Saturday

After months of bombarding Kim's email with pictures, prices and ideas about shoes, she said "You need to start a shoe blog."
This is day one of The Shoe Must Go On.
